Ruby if paziņojums pārbauda nosacījumu. Paziņojums if block tiek izpildīts, ja nosacījums ir patiess.

Sintakse: 

 if (condition) //code to be executed end

Ruby if else paziņojums pārbauda stāvokli. If block paziņojums tiek izpildīts, ja nosacījums ir patiess, pretējā gadījumā tiek izpildīts bloka paziņojums.
