Šajā tēmā tiks apspriesti ASCII kodi un tas, kā uzrakstīt programmu, lai drukātu ASCII tabulu C programmēšanas valodā. ASCII apzīmē Amerikas standarta informācijas apmaiņas kods . ASCII kods ir rakstzīmju kodēšanas shēma, ko izmanto, lai definētu rakstzīmju pamata elementu vērtību informācijas apmaiņai datoros un citās elektroniskās ierīcēs.

ASCII tabula C

Turklāt ASCII kods ir 255 simbolu kolekcija rakstzīmju kopā, kas sadalīta divās daļās: standarta ASCII kods un paplašinātais ASCII kods. Standarta ASCII kods svārstās no 0 līdz 127, 7 biti garš, un paplašinātais ASCII kods no 128 līdz 255 ir 8 biti garš. Šīs rakstzīmes ir simbolu burtu (lielo un mazo (a–z, AZ), ciparu (0–9), speciālo rakstzīmju (!, @, #, $ utt.), pieturzīmju un vadības rakstzīmju kombinācija. Tāpēc mēs var teikt, ka katrai rakstzīmei ir sava ASCII vērtība.

Piemēram, kad mēs ievadām virkni kā 'HELLO', datora iekārta tieši nesaglabā mūsu ievadīto virkni. Tā vietā sistēma saglabā virknes to ekvivalentā ASCII vērtībā, piemēram, '7269767679'. H ASCII vērtība ir 72, E ir 69, L ir 76 un O ir 79.
